..... depends a lot on how much you want to spend. I just slapped in a pair of Hogtunes for $90 bucks (better sound than stock, but certainly not the be-all end-all), the J&M's come as either 2way or 3 way (w/new grills) & cost a bit more, some guys are installing adapters to get 6 & 7 inch speakers in place & i'm not gonna even start w/ talking about adding an amp.
......... stereo upgrade is one'a the most pleasant mods we can do to our RG's.

That's why I'm not gonna "over-kill" it. I'm quite happy with the stock stereo but may just replace those fairing mounted speakers with something a tad better. Thanks for the advice.

You've been gone a while, and I hate to say it, but don't forget to check the wear marks in the fairing caused by the radio bracket. Some have worn through. Couple of threads on here about this problem. I'll try and find them and post them.

I replaced the bubble with the bezel, but now, I can't pull it back off. The bottom of the bezel can be released but I can't release the top clips.

Rodeo - if you don't know how to remove/reinstall the FLTR fairing you can watch a video of both at https://www.fixmyhog.com/pages/Video-Clips.html You'll have to register and then look in the "Hogger" tab and you'll find the FLT fairing videos. Also don't forget that you can put the fairing back on easier without the lighting bezel and then just plug-in and snap the lights back in.
