Cool Removing the CAT from Header????

OK, I did a search and found a lot of talk but no real How To on removing the cat from the pipes.
I have a 2010 RG, I bought a 2010 header system from a Ultra and plan on removing the cat and installing two mufflers ( have those also). I just don't like the 2 into 1 look and want dual mufflers.
So my questions is....what's the best or good method of removing the cat material? I plan on taking the header to a machine shop and have them slice the area of the cat in two so I can access the blockage.
Now after that, what's the best way to remove the material?
Drill it out? Air hammer? Hole saw? Grinder?
Pictures would be a big plus....

Oh I'm keeping my stock exhaust just to be safe and if the Feds start testing....I'll have my stock setup as a backup.

Here is some pic's of an '09, but with the sensor location on the '10's this might cause cross talk between them. I have seen nice gains from Fuelmoto's 2:1:2. It is so nice it's almost a shame to put the heat shields back on.

Fullsac Performance use to remove the cat material for $100. They don't advertise that service on there website any more. I understand they have an X pipe now that replaces the section that has the cat material in it.
Might call and talk to Fullsac Performance.
When they were removing the Cat material from the 09/10 head pipes. They did just like in the pictures above. They cut that section of the pipe in two sections. Removed the material and then welded it back together.

It may be a lot less trouble to replace the 2010 headers with 2009 that do not have the catalytic converter. It most likely will need a tune-up.

Isn't there an issue with doing this. I thought maybe the bungs welded into the 09 head pipe were different than the 10.

Definately needs the tune but bungs for the o2 sensors are in a different spot. The best bet is the Fuelmoto or Fullsac pipe.

Another option is this. Just saw it in a mag. http://www.namzcustomcycleproducts.com/new.html To bad you got a 2010 header though. You would need a non cali. 09 headpipe.
