Ditto that! Make sure that the estimate include the fact that the tins WILL need to be removed to assure that the topcoat blends exactly as new and start thinking about a custom paint design.

Must say good job for not totally losing it with them, cant imagine what I would have done if that happened to me.
My advice would be to remain as calm and diplomatic at this point. It will help get things resolved, plus document everything you have tried to do in case you need to let the courts decide. Willingness and calmness now on your part will go a long way later on trying to prove a case.
Take pictures and store them in a couple different places in case they are needed later.
Best Wishes

Update #1
OK, the funding is locked in as the project manager for the painting contract has already admitted to covering the damage and laid a deposit with the painter that is doing the fix. I called Corpus Christi Harley Davidson and they turned me onto the girl that does their custom paintjobs for them. I took her the bike this morning to see what her reaction/concerns were. The painting manager met us their and she explained to him that her fee at a minimum would be $400 just to clay bar and buff out the bike, this doesn't even cover the leathers. She is contacting an Omish leather man who makes custom saddles to see about him removing the paint which is water based lacquer. She wants him to take care of the leather because he can redye them at the same time to make sure it is all the same black.
If the leather guy can't get the leather fixed properly; the bags, seat, and backrest pad are going to run $1396.21.
More to follow, the bike goes to her tomorrow and she wants to get it back to me by Friday afternoon. Thanks for the comments and please wish me luck!
