I have WILD 1's WO513 (8 1\2" Baby Apes) and Love em'!!!! Buddy put the WO517's on his '06 RG now he wishes he went with the WO513's also...

I didn't need to change any cables\wires but did have to do some creative bending of the front M\C line.... I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the WO513's

is this the same clamp that you had used for the cable? and did you attach it to the bolt that holds the plastic shrouding to the forks?
Not sure about the p/n, but it is the clamp they use on RK's to secure the cable to the left side of the forks (tripple tree). Yes, mount to the large torx screw/bolt that attaches the plastic shroud to the fork assy.

Cowboy - all the stock cables & wiring work. As was mentioned, you will need to clip the zip tie at the base of the right handlebar clamp to allow you to pull up just a bit more brake hose. You will also want to srtaighten out the barke line off the MC to clean up the look just a little.

It's qiute simple and totally worth while.

Also, (probably in the thread already) you will need to re-route the clutch cable so that it runs between the left inner fairing and the left fork tube, rather then thru the "snout" up front like it comes stock. It will make sense if you look at it.

Thanks for the info guys! On my 97 RK I did alot of mods myself. This being a new bike I'm alittle nervous about working on it. But hey! I have a shop manual and a pair of visegrips what else do I need?

Installed WG bars today. Everything went well. All the tips I read in the different posts helped allot. The bars feel great. The RK clutch cable clamp is HD part # 9990W if anyone needs it. The Dremel tool tip was especially helpful. Thanks again for all the info.

I installed the fat mini-apes, internal wiring. I'll go back in the paperwork and get the partnumber if anyone is interested.

Anyone know the P/N for the WG (pre 06) bars. I want to get the right one the first time.

Thanks, Mike

I love the look of those bars. Looks like you have your forward. Can they come back farther without hitting the tank?

BTW, Also like your grips and inner fairing paint. Good job!
