Question Miles added with Airhawk added ?

I'm thinking about an Airhawk pad for my StreetGlide so the question is;

How many miles were you able to ride before & then after adding the Airhawk ?

My buddy has one and he says it at least doubles the distance he can ride. He did complain about it sitting him a little high in the saddle. He found that just a little air in it worked best for him.

About 40 miles. I didn't like it, sold it on e-bay and purchased a Road Zepplin and I am now happy.

I want to ride to Sturgis at least once in my life and as it is right now there is no way I can make it. I did 798 miles in 3 days about 2 months ago, I didn't even want to look at the bike for about a week and a half after getting home..............
I have tried;
Stock 2009 StreetGlide seat
2010 Ultra seat
Personally modified StreetGlide seat ( cutouts for azz bones on the bottom side of the padding )
Both SG and Ultra with Walmart Gelpad sittin on top
New Sundowner seat ( this was the absolute worst. Luckily they gave me my money back )

I often do 900 miles a day (Nashville to St. Paul). The Air Hawk made it a bit more comfortable especially in the heat. I ride to Sturgis every year as well. We'll do several 600 mile days on those trips. It makes it much better. Just don't put too much air in it!

I found that using the Airhawk at the beginning of the trip helps...at the end of the day a tired *** is just a tired ***....

The Air Hawk is like sitting on a bunch of 1 inch balloons full of wet jello (but it's air) that are all connected by passages, you can feel it moving around as you move, which eases the butt pain locations, not much air required, I use it after 2 hours in the stock seat (ache) and I get easily another 2 hours without ANY pain. It does lift you up about 1/2 an inch or so depending on how much air is in it. Don't over fill it, less is better (for me). Works for me...
