But at this point (owning an RKC) I would go into it with my eyes wide open and understand what I'd be giving up (comfort) for appearances (RKC). And I wouldn't consider either bike as a 'moving-up' or 'trading-down'.

Best of luck with your decision...I sure won't think you're crazy if you make the move.
I have a 09 SG and every time I see a pic like that of a RK I wish I would have got one. Nothing like no windshield or fairing on a nice day aroung town. Do what you think is good for you!!I love my SG, but may have jumped the gun.

Why thank you.

They're standard cop bike mirrors. Not the best looking, but they work so well, I'm not inclined to get rid of them anytime soon.

Go with what will meet your needs. I had both. I currently have an Ultra because I'm doing more touring.

The Road King is the best looking Harley made and would have no problem going back to one.

We both ride Road Kings, but I agree with above. Put a quick disconnect on the Tour Pack, keep the Ultra.

I think it could work for your situation. You'll also love versatility. You can pop the winshield and toupak right off and it's like riding a different bike.

Default Thanks

Thanks for all the help guys, really. I seldom dive into the forum as you may notice from the number of posts Ive put up, but this has been a great discussion. I will probably be staying with the Ultra, just to hard to give up the creature comforts and I have put quite a bit into it already. But man you guys that posted some of the RKC pics sure make it hard. That bike is calling me and one day I'll have one.
