Default Throttle and Idle Cable change???

I am in the process of doing a bars swap and have to install longer cables. I ordered new cables from drag. As I was removing my old cables I noticed that there is an electrical connection on one of the cables.......why? My new cables do not have this plug. Whats it for and is it needed? Thanks in advance.

The "electrical connection" is probably the roll-off switch for cruise control. Do you have cruise control?

If your talking about the connector on your neck frame that is your idle- cruise cable. It has two metal prongs that you connect your cruise module to,Your cruise control is operated by this. If you don't have cruise don't worry about it. If you do have cruise your gonna have to order a new cable that has that connector.

its the electrical connection for the cruise control. its what enables you to roll the throttle forward to disengage the cruise when its on.

'02 and up came prewired for cruise. Would bet its part of the cruise system normally installed on the Ultras.
