Default Leaving the bike for 45 Days

What should I do? any advise?

1-should I disable the alarm? Will the battery go dead?
2- Should I somehow lift the tires off the ground? I dont have a lift, is there any other way to lift it?

The temp here hits 120f during the day, the bike is in a shaded area...

I'd remove or tender the batt..no need to put it on a lift. What kind of building will it be kept in? Sec system wont do you any good while ur away, if someone really wants it they'll just take the bike on a trailer and motor on down the road. Thats what insurance is for..

Buy a Battery Tender Jr., leave the alarm alone & don't worry about it.

Due to work requirements I am forced to leave my bike parked in a TUFF Shed with it's own flooring so the tires are not on the ground for 90-130 days then when I get home I ride it for a month then park it again for another 90-120 day storage. When putting it away I make sure that it is clean with a fresh coat of wax and the leather treatment on the seat and bags. I have never removed the battery and it starts each time after the storage like I had parked it the night before. Not sure if your tempature range is going to make a difference since my bike is parked at elevation (6400 feet) and the summer time temps only get into the 90s but winter temps dip into the low 20's.

Side question to you since you live in Dubai, when I travel to and from work I usually go through Dubai International and some times have a 8-10 hr lay over, how far is the HD dealer from the airport and is it worth a visit? The only place besides the airport and hotel I have been there is the mall with the aquarium in it and have been wanting to venture out a little.

Have a good one and stay safe.

Jake.

Battery tender, that is what I do during the winter months.

Probably be OK if you do nothing but park it. Take a decent length ride (over 50 miles) the first time you start it when you get back.
If the battery gets low you may have to charge it or jump start it. (Battery tender will prevent that).

45 days is not a long time. The battery should be fine but if want you can hook it up to a trickle charger, something you should have anyway. I would simply make sure it was clean and cover it with something breathable.

Hi there...

There is a Harley shop in the same Mall that has the aquarium... the actual dealer is just 2 minutes away from the mall... it is on Sheikh Zayed road between the 2nd and 3rd interchange...

The issue I have with the battery tender (they are all from HD)... is that they breakdown,... I think its due to the heat! they just stop working. This is the third one I change!

IMO the battery will be fine for 45 days, even with the security not set in storage mode. If this is a reoccuring instance I would keep getting battery tenders. Nothing special about the HD branded that I can tell, as I have a Battery Tender Jr brand as well as a HD branded one. I believe that if the bike is fuel injected there isnt the problem with the gas unlike the carbretors that used to get gummed up when the gasoline would evaporate, even though I am a big believer in Sta-Bil.

The new E-10 fuel sucks and can break down quickly (as quick a 30 days in colder temps). Fill you tank and add fuel stabilizer (I use K100-MG), take it for a quick spin and park it.
