Default New Seat

Should be getting my new Comfort Stitch seat on Monday, will let you all know what the wife thinks of it after next week end. We have been riding a stock RKC seat and it works fine for me but after about 2 hours in the saddle she starts moving around like crazy back there. At first I thought she had brought along her little toy but as she said later, it felt like she was sitting on a wedge.LOL... she would kill me if she knew I had said that....LOL. Anyway, I will let you know what the official results are of our comparison between the stock RKC seat and the Comfort Stitch seat are. Stay Tuned... Jeff

Just put the seat on this afternoon and tokk the wife out for dinner. She seems happy. I actually did not want this seat but after I sat on it I think it is a big improvement over the stock for long runs. I give the Comfort stitch a thumbs up and would recomend it to anyone wanting a smoother ride. It also gives a lot of back support for the driver. I plan on using the stock for around town, it looks sportier. As for pics I will get som up but my took a **** about a month and a half ago, and I have been spending all my moola on stuff for the bike. But as soon as I get a new Camera I will be sure to post some.

What backrest did you use for the passenger seat ? I'm thinking about getting the comfort stitch seat for my road king custom. Not sure what passenger backrest would look good.

I went with a RK comfort sticch tour model on my SG. Couldn't be happier. As fas as a back rest, I have the fold down comfort stitch. I wouldn't ride without it.

We had bout a setup when we first bought the RKC in June and we both think it looks good with the new seat. It does seem to set a little lower since the seat actually sets higher than the stock seat but my wife says it feel great to her. Here are the numbers for the setup that I have: Pad= 52886-98B(page 403), Sissy bar= 52933-97B(page 402). You will also need to buy a docking kit . All together about 300 bones, but to keep mama happy it is CHEAP! Hope this helps.
