Default Outer Starter Jackshaft Bushing

Need a little help please. Step by step this is ALL I did. I replaced the outer primary cover on my 04 Road King. In doing so I cut out the old outer jackshaft bushing and tapped in a new one. While tapping in new bushing I may have slightly damaged the outer edges. After replacing the outer primary cover the bike will not start. All I get is a very loud "click".

you will have to pull the cover off again.....pull the end of the jackshaft and see if it fits into the bushing you installed.....I believe that if you do not get full engagement-extension of the "starter drive" (jackshaft) that the starter will not spin. Sounds like the end of the jackshaft is not going into the bushing....thus the request to check fitment into the bushing.
