Do a search on this and you will find a ton of info on cam swaps. Iclick, Phil and DAWG have"how to" photos and parts list you will need. Good luck.

Worth it? With the right cams for the application, yes. Wrong cams, no. DIY? Of course, if you have a service manual, the necessary tools, and moderate mechanical skills. Your level of mechanical skill isn't even that important if you can follow directions in the manual and organize the job.

Is it worth it, hell ya provided you already have or are also going to install a higher flow air cleaner and mufflers. The a/c and exhaust are important because the cams will allow the engine to flow more air provided the intake (a/c) and exhaust are less restrictive than the bone stock set-up.
Staying with a stock a/c and exhaust will severely limit the benefit of a cam swap.

How many miles on your bike? If its over 30K, it's a good time to consider changing to gear drive cams or the newer design hydraulic cam chain tensioner cam plate and higher flow oil pump to get rid of the OEM cam chain tensioners.

Is the bike carb or EFI? If the latter, you will have additional cost to be able to change the bike's ECM fuel and ignition timing settings to accommodate the new cams and a dyno tune.

Head-Quarters HQ-0034 cams were installed in my '04 EG with Rinehart True Duals and SE a/c with 40K miles on my bike and it was like getting a new bike in terms of the improved performance.

Good luck with your research.
