Default Issues with commuting to work in business attire

I don't wear a suit, but wear business casual at work. Dress khakis, slacks, dress shirts, dress boots, etc..

I live in South Texas where the heat is sometime extremely high and I work on a military installation which requires long sleeved shirts with reflective material during the hours of darkness.

Here is what I currently do, but am open to all thoughts on how to accommodate my riding requirements on base and still not fall over from the heat. I wear the Harley safety vest (not a requirement, but I like to wear it for me) and a long sleeve button up shirt over what I am wearing for work that day. It isn't too bad, but it is still early in the year as far as heat goes.

What's wrong with that? Wear what you need to wear, or strip the sleeves for the ride in. Obviously not as safe as leather. Then again, depending on the heat, leather is made to be comfortable AND comforting.

Did you intend to post a picture of what you wear? It seems I'm not the only person not seeing what it seems like I should be seeing. I don't see a link to a picture in your post, and I definitely am not seeing the picture.

I recommend you to use a kevlar long sleeved shirt.

Well this is what I used to do when I lived off base. I would ride in wearing my gear get the shop, change into my uniform. Do you have a wall locker?

What I wear to ride is the least of my worries.
