I was going to say, like Hogdoc said, the CAM sensor will not cause the bike to die,, the crank sensor will..
But I see your ordering the Crank sensor!

Have you ruled out spark? Getting fuel? You said it has a carb. Is the vacuum system working to allow fuel to flow?

Have you sprayed carb cleaner down the throat while trying to start it to see if you get any action?

Ok i got a crank sensor today swapped it out and it seems everything is good...i rode it for about a hour in stop and go...got the motor real warm and it did not die.....thanks to everybody's imput...it all helped.....
