What turned me off was price and having to put together. Not saying I might not treat myself someday. They else make leg extensions which people seemed to like.

You can do a stage 2 with the Kermit chair too. Cup holder and leg extensions for an additional fee. Sound familiar?

I was using a concours for a work bike. Was nice to just leave it loaded. Also nice how function it was. It had hook points around seat. I just left a soccer chair on there. With my harleys not a good point to hook to and worry about scratching it a little, not that it aint scratched already.

I have the Helinox compact chair. Fits in the saddle bag and the tourpak. Beats sitting at a picnic table. lean back and stretch your legs. I do all my touring motocamping. So packing room.is of the essence.

$99.00. A bit above budget. But I've found that the smaller and lighter you need. The more it costs. I'm 230# and dont worry about it. Rated for 320#

lizdc, that chair only has two legs. It would only be a minute or two and I would be flat on my back. And that's before I start drinking.

That thing folds down so small. Looks like a great chair. I'll let you know what I think about it on Tuesday when it gets here. LOL

Thanks for the link, looks like one I can keep in my saddle bag all the time.

I think you will like it. My buddy's busted my ***** about my 100$ chair. After a long day and we set up camp I'm the one comfortable in a chair I can lean back in. They're hunched over the picnic table. Lol.

Deadwood KOA.

Helinox Chair One, pricey but worth it. Mine is showing no wear after 4 years and many miles under its belt. It’s only con it’s the legs will sink into soft ground. Four crushed beer cans fix the issue.

Very true! I did the stage 2+ in 2013. This is what my Kermit chair cost me back then.

KCC202 The Kermit Wide Chair $159.00
KCA101 Leg Extensions Set $40.00
KCA201 Cup Holder $18.00

Shipping: $19.04
Total: $236.04

It's an expensive chair and my friends make fun of it all the time. But it is comfortable, strong and more importantly packs down to a small size. I'm just always afraid someone else will help themselves to it.

The Kermit Camping Table looks pretty cool and packs up small. But I am going to try and make that myself.

Here are the plans.

The Helinox chairs are well made and pack small. There are clones of these chairs available via Amazon, but I wanted a strong, well-made chair, so I stuck with the original.
Helinox Chair One is nice, but I wanted to sit a bit higher and have a backrest, hence the Sunset chair was perfect for me. Just something to consider in your chair purchase.

Seat Height
Chair One: 14"
Sunset: 17.5"
