Default PC III part numbers and application

I've searched a bit but haven't really found a definate answer. My 2007 Ultra came with a PC III USB, part number 805-510. The bike also had Rinehart slipons and an SE dry element A/C set up. The bike ran OK, but hot as hell so I went totally back to stock so I could kind of start from scratch if I wanted to. The bike actually runs cooler and much better now, but on to the question:

Does anyone know what bike(s) the PCIII 805-510 is actually for? The Dynojet web site has a completely different part number for my bike. I am guessing the previous owner found one on ebay or something and it may or may not have been for my bike. If it's not for my bike at all, I will be selling it. If it IS for my bike, I may try to get a map on it which will help the bike run a little cooler than the stock ECM. Performance is not an issue with me, the bike performs just fine for me in stock configuration.

Thanks in advance.

My 07 has an 805-511 but I believe the only difference is the mounting hardware. Yours may have come with a "basket" that the softails use. PC111s have been thes same from 2002 until at least 2007.
I think you have another issue. If it's running cooler without the PC you either have a very poor map or the PC is not working correctly.

No basket so it must be OK based on your comments. Yeah, I thought something might be wrong with the map too which is why I pulled it and went back to stock. Everyone tells me stock runs hotter than a good map so that was my first clue.

I'm in the process of trying to get a 9-volt adapter and O2 sensor eliminators, which it didn't have, so I can at least do the install correctly and make sure it's got a good map.

Thanks for the reply, appreciate the info.

If you cant find the o2 sensor eliminators let me know I think I have 2.. As far as the part number I was told they all would work on my 06.. The plugs are all the same but for some reason Dynojet came up with a part numbering system they really didnt need as the units didnt come with any maps in them anyway ?.. I found mine on here I think by a guy that was closing them out so i called him he gave me that info on the part numbers and I bought one .

The one I have has two PNs (812-511 & 805-510) that states it is For 805-511, 807-511, 810-511, 811-511, 812-511, 813-511, 814-511. They appear to be interchangeable for many applications. I contacted Dynojet and they told me it was the correct unit for my bike, an '06 FLHRCI. I'd contact Dynojet to be 100% sure.

If it plugs in it will work its that simple.. All you need is a good map and prolly the sensor eliminators.. My bike was dynoed and I still changed the map and it runs even better now but my problem was low speed.. It does seem to run cooler also..

805-510 is the base unit for the following models 02-07 Touring, 01-08 Softail, 04-08 Dyna. The only difference between these models is the map that is loaded into the unit and newer models require a firmware update which can be downloaded here http://www.powercommander.com/downlo...ey_2.2.5.0.zip O2 sensor equipped models require the use of O2 sensor eliminators and 01-06 Softail models include a deeper ECM tray.
