I never knew there were such things as run flat motorcycle tires. Very interesting. Are they only sold to municipalities and a restricted item? Very cool, learn something new everyday.

They are not run-flats.........they are bead retention tires. They are not intended to ride 50 miles at 50 MPH like cadillacs, corvettes and some others have.
What they will do is remain seated to the rim in case of a sudden loss of air pressure and enable you to safely stop the bike without the tire bead becoming unseated and flooping around inside the rim.

That's true, they aren't a true run flat but a bead retention tire. There is a noticable difference in where the tire makes contact with the rim as the bead area is larger.

Hummm……Have not noticed any whine, hum or real big difference in handling (Other than the thicker sidewalls) on my FLHTP. I’m also running the stock cop tires. I’ll have to do some comparing now. Guess If I haven’t noticed it, it’s not an issue.

Again thanks to everyone who responded. I do think that the noise and vibration is due to the tire design. I guess I will have to live with it or change out the tires. And again i don't notice riding level, only when leaning in a curve.
