i have always used HD oils in motor, trans and primary.. No problems that i know of. Been thinking of switching to some sort of synthetic for all three, but never can get a straight answer.... Definitly dont want any oil made by Mr. Chavez,,,,

So when using ShockProof do you use Heavy, Lightweight, or Superlight?

Ive been using mobil 1 syn. in my bikes for years, before harley introduced their synthetic. At the time my dealership said that synthetic was a definate no.I ran it anyway and have had nothing but positive results.I believe that break in should be with fossil fuel and once the rings seat switch to syn. I wouldnt waste my money on harley syn,Ive read it doesnt perform as well as their fossil.Mobil one or redline.

Well thanks for all the info. I've decided to go with amsoil 20/50 in the motor Spectro 6 speed in the tranny and formula plus in the primary. I will change the fluids when its scheduled time. Hopefully it will work out for me, and it will run for a long time.
