Biketronics stereo upgrade and amp. The J&M 7 1/4 speakers are great.

I have the speakers and a Hogtunes amp. I know the new HT amp is much better but also spandy.

Sounds like money is not the object for you. You'll get several opinions here so do some research, look at some sites, and talk with some people before you spend the money. JMO

J&M speakers and amp with the stock head unit will do wonders without the extra money needing to spent on a head unit. We are offering a deal to forum members for $$559.95 for the 7.25"'s and the amp. retail is Well over $700. Yes, this price is shipped. We have compared quite a few different setups and ahve found this to be the best with the addition of the Hogtunes tweeter pods as well. Do your research. Not cheap but well worth it any day of the week.

The J&M 7 1/4 speakers w/amp are supposed to be a real nice upgrade...at least that's the way I going soon.

Biketronics and Hawg-wired offer interface modules that connect between your bike's audio harness and aftermarket head unit to preserve handlebar control of the head unit. You need to check their websites for compatible head units. Both offer complete packages of head unit, interface module, installation kit, amps and speakers.

My suggestion is you decide what features you want in a head unit (thumb drive, I-pod control, etc.) and brand. Then check with BT and/or HW for compatibility. After you have that decided, you can choose among amps and speaker combinations (5.25", 6.5", and 7.25").

Good luck with your research.

I upgraded my '09 RG just a few months ago - Arc Audio 125.2 amp + 7.25" J&M speakers (kept the stock head unit). I'm very pleased with the outcome and WAAAAAAAAY better than what I started with. I do find myself listening to the CD more than the FM, as the digital sound in (vs. reception) is much crisper. You know what they say - garbage in, garbage out! Good luck!!
