Just for a little perspective. The other day I saw a guy riding a chopper that had his leg amputated below the knee. He had a peg leg below that. I watched as he pulled up to a stop sign and he was steady as a rock. Made me take a little inventory of myself.

I hope you get back in the saddle soon.

Do listen to your doctor when it comes to therapy. I was 43 yrs old when i had my tkr but 6 weeks was cause i worked hard. My knee was locked up and wouldn't bend so i had no other choice but have the surgery. I knew since I was 18 yrs old that day was coming. Don't push it. Let your doctor decide when you are ready to ride.

All the best in your recovery... Hope you're back on the road sooner than you had hoped.

At some point I will need to do my right knee. But I will try duck tape, bailing wire or whatever to push out that day. I have a number of friends that have had knee replacements and from their experiences, I will postpone as long as I can.

Hang in there and good luck! I'm looking at the same thing sooner rather than later. Good to read that so many have had replacement surgery and are riding again.
