If you get this tuned by a competent tuner, and there are plenty of them out there, you will think you got a new engine..Ask me how I know..Step AWAY from the canned maps!

Are you sure you have the RIGHT map for your combo? AT 100% throttle (which is ALL your looking at on one cylinder) you are quite lean, not what I would say is typical from Jamie.

Your about 8-10 hp and 10-12 tq low.

Better check that map cal!

Thanks for the advice from everyone....Open Road yours was the advice I needed to hear and see. I have the PC-V...but I have been thinking about the HD Race Tuner and have my dealer tune it. I know the PC-V is good but thinking that I no longer want the additional equipment under my seat and I have also heard good things about the the HD Racetuner.

Your wide open throttle shows lean and your fuel mileage indcates rich where you ride. A tune would make a difference.

...yeah, spend the extra 200 or so and get a good tune done. Before you go back to this dyno, check the DJ web site for a tuner in your area.
In what fantasy world is a dynotune $200? Pretty sure That's not the guy I want tuning my bike...

That fantasy world would be right here in Dover, De.
Actual charge for a Harley is $275. I said $200 because I have no idea what other areas of the country charge. However, having seen this guys work, on numerous bikes of different brands, and having been to Zippers and many other "Tune Shops", I'll take this $275 tune any day. The guy is good. Very good. And, he's recommended by the manufacture. I'm sorry you have to pay more. Maybe you're paying into someone else's fantasy.

Can anyone look at my power run and tell me if it's worth the money for a Dyno or is the canned map look ok. My gas milage is around 32 mpg...but that's getting heavy on the throttle from time to time.
It is very difficult to give an evaluation with 3 quick dyno runs without additional data. What was the engine temp when the made the runs? Have they checked the calibration on the wideband sensor on their dyno? Also you stated when we talked this morning that they used a probe up your exhaust to sample the AFR, when they should have screwed a wideband sensor right into the port on your exhaust system which is far more accurate. These are just a couple variables that come into the equasion, the main consideration is if the motor is not up to temp it will not make peak numbers, on the other hand if it is too warm the ECM pulls igntion timing so the number will be low. It is extremely important to maintain the correct engine temp when tuning as well as making dyno runs as this will have a HUGE effect on the tuning and peak numbers. The dyno graph here is not a good representation to base tuning from, as if one was drawing conclusions based off of this graph there is little data. Use of the Dynojet DLM module with their dyno would allow them to add in engine temp, igntion timing along with all of the other J1850 ECM channels which would give you much more supportive data for comparision.

Well, there's this place in Wisconsin called Fuelmoto that charged me less than $200, but then again they say Wisconsin is a fantasy world.

I was pretty pleased that he was the guy tuning my bike.....

Not for argument but out of curiosity.....what is the shop labor rate where you get a dyno tune for $200 or even $275? Are they tuning each cell or is it a more generic (canned) tune?

Jamie did mine, being gracious enough to open on a Saturday, on the dyno, and it was a flat fee.

I did purchase the Power Commander from Fuelmoto when I did my bike; so I don't know if that was a factor.
