Default Flat tire tip

My wife & I just came back a 4k trip from Wa. to Idaho, Montana & Wyoming, when we left I bought a flat tire repair kit from the local bike shop figuring Murphy's law wouldn't bite me if I had a repair kit on board, well in the middle of Montana on a single lane road 150 miles from anywhere in 110 degree weather we came across a single biker on the side of the road with a flat in the rear from a nail, plugged it, filled it with the 2 45 gram CO2 cartridges (30 psi) & sent him on his way all within 10 minutes.
Moral of the story was it could have been me & I sure was glad to have that $50 kit with me just in case I was stuck in the middle of nowhere.
The kit is made by Genuine innovations & is a relatively new product designed for motorcycles, it has much larger CO2 cartridges then the HD kits. http://www.genuineinnovations.com/IN...ategory=mxkits

Good for you for stopping to help. I've been broken down and had bikes pass me and wave! I always stop, no matter what they're riding, male, female (especially females), or a combination. Glad to hear the CO2 cyliders worked. I'm considering one of those mini compressors, especially if I can find one that will fit in my Lowers glove box.

I thought about a compressor also but found we were having to really compress the lids on the bags with what we already had, the cartridges/kit take up about 2 ciggarette packs worth of space, I stopped because I figure it's good biker karma & hope you guys would do the same for me.

I hope that guy paid you back for the use of your kit .. and bought you a few cold ones at the next stop. The thing I like about Harley riders is if you are stopped on the side of the road .. in the middle of nowhere .. most Harley riders will stop and ask if you're ok. A lot of times they will stop when you're just stopped for a little butt brake. Keep up the tradition guys and gals .. gives us a good name.
