I ordered the 8" KW windshield and a Badlander seat. I got both the same day last week and went to work. Installing the windshield was easy enough. The stock badlander lowered the ride height around 2-2 1/2"s lower than the stock seat but it still needed to be lower. So, I did what I do best, modified the seat to sit as low as possible. I am now sitting around 3 inches lower than stock and all the air is hitting the top of my helmet and I am not getting blasted in the face any longer which is great. I do get some wind noise still but I can hear the radio all the time even running 85 on the interstate. I think I have found my summer setup. I still have a stock 08 Road glide seat to work out for the bike and will probably add a 12" windvest for winter riding.

I added the Screaming Eagle heavy breather which really sucks the air in and the feel in the paints was a subtaintial power gain, I like it. I also lowered the back of the bike 1 inch with the Burly lowering blocks, I thought the back looked higher than the front the front.

The other thing added were the Yaffee OEM Monkey bars. The install was a PIA, that damn green connector on the throttle cable was a bitch but I got all the wires in the bars. I put a good 125 miles on the set up yesterday and loved every minute of the ride and wish it would have been more.

Here are a couple pictures of the bike as it sits now, as you can see I am going blacked out.

You certainly have the seat low, it looks like you are sitting on the frame rails.

How is it for comfort? I would love to be lower, but that does not look like an all day saddle.

The bike looks good.

Looking sweet so far.........wondering if the 'comfort factor' will still be there
for the 500 mile rides ( thats a necessity for me )

Bike is looking great, BadX! When I first saw the pic and hadn't read your text yet, I thought you had installed a FBI drop seat kit! That is LOW. Very nice!

HD changed the Badlander for the 08-10 touring bikes recently, I am not sure when but the new Badlander's are still based off the 08 seat pan design which is good because it is a flat pan and that is what is needed for a good base. They have also redsigned the cover somewhat and it's actually too big and in stock for gets ripples in it. The other change which will be good for some and bad for other is they changed the foam to a softer foam which is very similar to what is being used in the new "Low" seat. If you are 190 or less the stock foam should work really well but if your over that then you need a firmer foam(most likely) As you can see I was trying to get as low as possible so I wouldn't have to go with a taller windshield. The seat is good for about 200 miles then after that its just too soft and butt burn sets in. I hope to get some free time this week to change the foam to our firmer memory foam and I should be good then for some really long rides. I really like the new Badlander because there is a lot of movement in the seat and the passenger section isn't that bad really(According to the wife who rode 125 miles on it Sunday) the passenger section is wider but(no pun intended)it could be better and that was her words so I will do a little up grade back there also when I work on my part again.

I also have a 2008 stock Road Glide seat that I will be modding and using a driver's backrest with and I have a few mods to try on the driver's backrest with a new type of memory foam that was just developed a few months ago.
