Default Looking for help on a PCIII

Ok here's the deal. I bought PCIII used from someone on here, for a good deal. So I finally this past Saturday get the chance to put it on and mount it to the bike get the program on the computer set up and it tells me that it not communicating with the unit. Anyone know anything about this, if the unit needs to be reset or something and if so how do you reset it? Thank in advance for any and all help.

Try using another USB cord...Most digital camera USB cords are the same as the one that comes with the PCIII..If you are powering it up with a 9v battery, make sure it is good...if all else fails...call Dynojet's 800#...tell the techs what's going on...they are good people to deal with and do stand behind their product

The ignition needs to be on and if an older pcIII it has to be powered with 9v battery or with bike running. You can send and recieve maps with the bike running if not using the 9v battery.

Yup, my 07 has to be running to retrieve and send maps, unless using a 9v battery.

I recently went through this myself and had some issues, I did not have the most recent version of their software on my computer, you can find that version here, it's the fifth option on the list.

The ignition needs to be on (bike running or not) or powered by a 9V battery for the software to communicate with it. Did
you get a 9V battery adapter with the unit? If not, you should try to get one from DJ, as that makes working with it much easier.
