Default How to remove left side grip?

Does anyone have an idea on how to go about removing the left side grip that has been glued on? Kuryakyn Iso Grip to be exact. I'd like to get it off without ruining it. I've tried to heat it up as much as possible without messing it up with a heat gun but that bad boy would not budge.

I have taken off Kury grips by gripping tightly and twist, back and forth eventually it came off. Good luck!

I have not done it myself, I have always gotten them of with heat. But I have been told that lefting the edge with a screw driver and using an air blower, blowing compressed air into grip will lift it off the handle bar and allow it to slide off.

Dish soap and water or cut them off.

I was hoping to get it off without having to cut it but I think I may be out of options. I doubt soap and water would cut the glue. I may try the heat method again and twisting. Thnx for feedback.

Got the same problem. Have a set of Avon grips and have to get the left side off. Avon uses some kind of glue impregnated paper. Any idea how to get it off without ruining it?

Easy use a utility knife and cut it off. Cut straight down the bar and peel off.

I have heard somewhere that you can use your air compressor. I guess you would stick the nozzle in the edge of the grip and blow. Not sure if it will work but maybe worth a try. Let us know.

You can try WD40, and compressed air while trying to twist it. This is why I use electrical tape on the bar before installing my grips. I have the same grips on 2 different sets of bars. Electrical tape and twist it on. Holds just as well as glue, but easy to remove

I recently installed Iso grips also...andI didn't like the position of the "grips", so i tried to twist it before the glue dried. bad idea.

They aren't meant to be removed because the pot metal "cage" doesn't seperate in halves. The only way I can suggest getting it off is to cut the metal cage off with dikes and peel off the rubber.

Total loss.
