I just removed the tires from my stock spoke wheels. I found enough rust that I will need to wire wheel the inside to clean it up. My question is what do I put on the bare metal where the cleaned area is? Paint, WD40 or just leave it alone? I would like to treat it so the rust does not return, but do not want to introduce something to the inside of the wheel and tube like WD40 that might deteriorate the tube or cause other issues. I am sure there is a fix for this and many of you guys have seen this. Any help is much appreciated, Thank you.
