When will the F^%&ing MoCo build a bike that doesn't require eight factory recalls and $10K worth of aftermarket products to run right !! This will be my last H-D! Next year, I'm building a bobber for town, and buying a Gold Wing for touring. H-D had better wise-up before they loose every loyal customer ... they certainly aren't recruiting younger ones! (thanks for the vent)

I found it out on here and when I went and checked, sure enough my dipstick was worn just a bit where it was contacting the casting. It's not a big deal but it could be and the fix is so simple that I figured I might as well get the ol' hacksaw out and cut it off.

OK...I checked my stock trans dip stick that I had pulled off and saved at 5000 miles..It does have a slight blemish in a spot but no way was it missing any material and slowly rubbing itself away to the point of breaking.

I then checked my NEW presently installed hex dip stick that has about 2 K on it.
There was nothing visually there to mention about.

If there are bikes that have a serious rubbing problem on this stick...I'd cut it off too. But for now I'll just keep an eye on it...
