I'm generally a pretty patient man, but I'm at my wits end here.

I cannot line up the FU(KING bolts that go through the fender struts.

You guys that have done this know exactly what I'm talking about.

I've removed the bolts that hold the license plate hoop, put the rear bolt in first (thought that might help).

No friggin' luck……gonna lose it here!!

Any tips?

Have someone help. Hit it with the sledge hammer and at the same time the other person shoves the bolt through.

Ok really, I ran into this problem on my last bike. I ended up starting all the bolts loosely and then tighten them down alternating until all get tightened. Worked for me but there might be a better trick to it then that.

 

No easy way about it. Just get em in there loose then tighten them all. It's been done 1,000 of times before. Don't be a quitter.
