What size E3's do I need?
I want to put new rubber on my 03 Ultra and am leaning toward the E3's. Currently I am running MT90B16 72H on the front and MU85B16 77H on the rear (both 402's of course). I know that the rear is a little wider than stock and certainly can't go any wider. It's within 1/8" of rubbing now. I've checked both the Dunlop site and the Jake Wilson site and can't figure which sizes I need to buy. Any advise anyone can offer will be appreciated.

I can't imagine what his reasoning was, but the difference in size alone in regards to tire width and height/diameter is very noticeable between front and rear. Not to mention that it is clearly marked on the tires under the rotation arrow "For Front Wheel Use Only" and " For Rear Wheel Use Only". Another thing that was overlooked is the tire's load rating. The E3 front is rated at 785# and the rear at 937#. Considering that most of the weight is placed on the rear tire why would he put a smaller tire on the rear with an even smaller load rating? I don't know how he could ignore these obvious warnings and ratings.
As a footnote, the tire sizes are MT90B-19 72H (130/90-16 M/C) front and MU90B-16 78H (140/90-16 M/C) rear.

You'll be fine with the MT90 in the rear. Most go with the MU though. The MT90 rear is rated as MT90B16 H (130 mph) 74 (827 lbs). Next time you need a rear tire try the MU.
