Do yourself a favour and go aftermarket. Mine just quitted playing cd`s and the player is only one year old.

Biketronics all the way. I have an older Sony marine that controls the I-pod. Put the pod in the saddlebag,,,,1000+ songs at your fingertips. Never had a water issue, but I use the Biketronics cover when washing it. Plus you have all the eq stuff that the stock doesn't have. The cd player will skip if you hit a bump hard enough, but for the most part it won't.

I have the exact same bike ...even same color and i just installed the biketronics kit with the Hog Tunes and it is amazing. I have the Sony CDX-GT640UI and I actually find my self taking the long way to work now. I found a tiny little jump drive that holds 4g of music so I just drag MP3 to it plug it in and have all the music I need. Its easy to install and I can hear it load and clear through a full face with shield down. I was worried about water too but the kit comes with a pice of thick plastic that you put over the deck before you install it. I put my splash guard on when I park it and that thing wnt let a drop of water in. If you buy the biketronics you wnt be disappointed. Took my wife and I less then an hour to install it and if you use a IPOD then you can control it from the handlebar controls which the HK doesnt offer.

Friend of mine has a 09 CVO Ultra and he still has to fumble with is IPOD to change songs and I can just change it all on the fly with my standard. I found my whole kit for $500 from cycleaccessorystore with free shipping.

I installed a biketronic's system on my Electraglide standard in 2004 and have been very happy. They have a weathershield for the standard Sony decks. There is also a Sony Marine deck that is weatherproof. Check out their web site.

I also have a Biketronics setup in my 04 flhtc.I had a Sony Mu60 marine radio that somehow got water damage with splashcover on and lightly sprayed water on fairing.I just put an Alpine marine unit in with an alpine 50 watt amp and this thing is awesome.I have a tweeter pod and infinity kappa 6 1/2 in speakers.

call iron cross audio, they buy HK decks. I bet you can get a refurbished one with warrenty for about 400.00. They are great at what they do. Had them work on mine and I can say nothing but good things about them
