Just traded my 1200 Sportster Custom for my first touring bike... Road King Classic. VW to Cadillac experience so far.
That's absolutely the truth. However, nothing like cutting a curve or a corner close on a sporty, that I miss. Yeah, well, I'll remind myself of that the next time I'm in the 5th hour of a road trip.

Yep... the Sporty was just right for the twisties and bar hopping rides. Been riding those types of bikes all my life. This was the 1st time I even got on a touring bike and its a totally different ride. Already have a couple of long trips planned. First one will be from FL to KY with the wife aboard.
Bought my first Harley in February , 2011 RoadKing Classic. Took first ride Last Sunday, WOW what a ride. Traded VTX 1800 . Huge difference in Handling and torque.
Bought my first bagger last Wednesday, A 2000 Road King with a new 103 engine and a six speed. 35k on an 07' softail custom which is now for sale. Who would have dreamed the difference in comfort. All I can say is WOW!
