Default Another first

'10 Ultra....first ever HD. Came from a line of metrics with the most recent being a '05 Kaw Nomad (great bikes too, 1600cc engines). Picked up in Dec but didn't start riding until mid-Jan (family issues, etc). Now have 5k miles and have thoroughly enjoyed them. BUT.....bike is kind of sluggish going up steep inclines like bridges, etc whereas the Nomad never was and could actually gain speed uphill on the same bridges. The Ultra loses speed which is disappointing......but it's my only gripe so far....so I'm happy.

I've had other bikes. Always wanted a Harley. There are a lot of imatators but only one real McCoy. Picked up an '09 RK FHLR. I'm on the forum daily. You folks are an incredlible resource for us newbies. Thanks!

Default First Harley Bagger

Just came off a Yamaha Venture and bought a 2005 EG Classic. I really like it but the wife doesn't feel comfy yet on it. The Venture had much more room and my legs are a bit cramped. All in all I am very pleased though.

Got my RKC in March and it's been 5000 miles of sweet joy since then. I love the mass of this thing and the stability at speed. Well balanced and surprised me with how nimble she is in the twisties.

My 2010 Limited is my 1st Harley. I had two metrics before this new Harley Touring bike. I can't believe the difference in the bikes. The Harley is so stable its unreal.

My first HD was a 62 Sportster I had in 1971 and thirty seven years bike-less years later I bought a new and first touring 08 EGC. The 09 Ultra is my second touring bike
