RE: Contemplating
Not from the Factory. You would have to have them install the removable brackets for the Tourpak. Not a big problem. Then you could buy the removable back rest so you would not have to have the tourpak on when you have a passanger. I love my removable stuff. Takes about 2-3 minutes to take off or put back on.

Tripper,
You have to get the brackets to make the tour pac removable. You then have to have an antenna relocation kit, or a hidden antenna to make the radio work. In addition, you will have to change the license plate bracket.
I got the removable bracket for the tour pac, a Dakota Digital powered radio antenna that goes under the fairing, and the HD laydown license plate bracket. I have a Corbin seat with the passanger/rider backrest that is movable from passanger to rider positions, so there is no need for a detachable rider backrest.
I can send you pictures and much more information on my set-up if you need it. I can also give you a phone number so we can talk if you need any help. I put all my stuff on myself, and it's not a big deal.
Regards,
Bill

On your way to Santa Fe, you may as well come by the house and spend the night. I live a good days ride from Prescott, and you can then take the scenic route to Sante Fe from here. I have the room as it's just the wife and I, and a granddaughter on occasion. Have a big garage for the bike.
I'll get some pictures to you of the EG.

Bill
