Default Wild One 513's on an RK

I'm considering the 513 Baby Ape for my 02 Road King. I need a bar that's a little higher and back than the stock bar, but I don't think I like the wrist angle of the 508 or the HD Reduced Reach. Not really looking for a major change, just comfort. Would really like to stay with the stock cables too.

I've never ridden on a bike with 513's but have spent some time of a Police RK with the Heritage style bar which looks to be similar. Just wondered what 513 owners thought of their bars vs stock?

Default Wild One 513 8.5'' baby apes

My bike is a 09' FLHRC. I have about 1500 miles on my 513s and I can say that I like them very much. I initially installed the Heritage Style bars but I did not like the wrist angle at all. The 513s are nothing like the Heritage Style bars. The 513s put your wrists at a very comfortable angle and the bars are low enough to make low speed turning easy. I am 5' 11'' and have the bars just a little pulled back from the fork angle. My dealer installed the bars and internally placed the throttle wire. They did require a + 8'' throttle extension (part # 2120-0251) which cost $38.99. The dealer charged me $ 427 for the install, which is not cheap but is a lot cheaper than some have paid for similar services on this forum.

Thanks for the info and the pictures. Did you have to use a longer clutch cable and brake line?

Nope, clutch cable and brake lines are the same.
