Any pro's or cons from those who have em?
My wife and I are doing a 6000 mile road trip out west, and I've been told the Sheepskin takes the sting out of hot days on a bike. I'm also interested in HD's new circulator seat pads, because, quite honestly, I think the sheepkins look shabby.
Any one with opinions chime in.
Especially those who have used both?

I bought one of these for trips. So far so good. Not strapping it to the seat and it doesn't slide around nor do I. I can't tell it's there but it is cooler. Takes alot of the soreness out.

I have the Aerostich sheepskin and so does the wife. Makes a HUGE difference

I have both a sheepskin I bought off Ebay and the BeadRider seats from Bead Rider. The beads work good for the first 700 miles in a day but then the sheepskin feels better, more comfortable for the butt than the bead riders. Butt remember that is after 700 miles in the saddle. I have made three Iron Butts and in April rode 5K miles in two weeks. Went from my house in CLT NC to Phoenix AZ in 36 hrs. and used both the bead rider and sheepskin. You'd be amazed at how much cooler your butt is with the beads, believe it or not you can feel a breeze under your butt and there is no more swamp *** when I ride with it. The sheepskin of course isn't a good thing when it gets wet, smells like a wet dog.

 

If your seat is reasonably comfortable I think a sheepskin is fine. I got mine from alaska leather. If I thought it was going to rain when off the bike I'd take it off and put it in the tourpak. All of 5 seconds. The version that is cut doesn't look bad at all.
I rode 350 to 750 mile days last year on a trip to Sturgis with no complaints.

 

I use a seat pad from Walmart $10.95 & sheepskin cover, works great

 

Beadrider I found more comfortable then the Gel pad for long distance.

 

Bought the sheepskin for a trip last summer & it worked so good, I left it on.. The shabby look works for me.
