Take a look at WalMart in the automotive department for a waffle style gel cushion $19.95.

My wife bought some sheep skins online and made a few black and grey covers and sewed the skins to the pads.

They are great, not too thick.

Thanks for all the input guy's! I've only heard good things about sheepskin covers (besides the "when wet" part) and I'm willing to give them a try. But like I said, not too impressed about the looks. Thats why I'd like to hear a comparison between Sheepskin and the Circulators.

Thanks Johan96 for the link! Informative..

I use a HD purchased sheepskin, had the same on my old bike, don't fasten it on, just lay it on when ready to ride, take it off when not in use, use for extended trips only. Have ridden coast to coast this way. I don't know what it is about sheepskins, but whether in a cage or on a bike or even an easy chair at home, much more comfy in the long run. Just MHO.

same here it is the one that looks like a waffle on the bottom, along with the sheepskin makes a world of difference on a long trip. I have a black shipskin and cut to the seat so you only see it when I get off the bike.

Can you use any sheepskin, or does it have to be something specific? Wondering because there is a Tandy Leather near me and I think I can get some really cheap.

I'm not too fond of the way the sheepskin looks either, so it stays in the saddlebag unless I'm planning on riding more than 400 miles or so. But it really does make a difference on those long days.

I just bought a complete sheepskin off ebay, it fits perfect and tucks between the rear seat and the rear speakers. Nothing to attach I just sit on it. I like the bead riders a little better when it's hot. My butt is cooler but the sheepskin is pretty close and I use it when my butt is too sore for the bead rider, but like I said that is after over 700 miles in a day. I have done several 1000 mile plus days. At least 14 hrs plus in the saddle. It's hard to make over 5o mph when traveling, this is total trip avg mph.

My a$$ would start getting sore after just 300 miles with my stock seat until I got my sheepskin. I've done a few 750 mile days since then with no soreness at all.

Bought a long haired, full sized whole sheep skin in Taos, NM last year, black of course. Best thing I ever purchased for the bike. Trimmed it up a little when I got home so it would fit a little better. Made a small slit in it for the back rest and had the local MC shop sew in a little re-enforcement leather and the back rest holds it in place. The HD rain cover (52952-97) fits right over it so I don't have to worry when it rains. 47.00 dollar investment plus 5 bucks to the MC shop and I couldn't be happier! (and either could mama!) Below is a link to the item. It almost fits an UC seat perfectly w/o trimming. These were cheaper at the store in Taos than they show here. The sheep it came from is an Austrailian or New Zealand sheep.....NOT a Chinease or Packastan sheep. (I don't care if I spelled those places wrong)

Sheepskin> Alaska Leather> Best thing under your butt on a cold or hot day!
