Default Oil blowing out of my intake.?

I have just under 10000 miles and I took a little 200 mile mission yesterday. I Was running pretty hard most of the trip when I got home I had oil on my right bag and it was dripping out of my Stage 1 air cleaner. I have had the current mods on there for some time. I havent change my oil in a months and this has never happened. Only thing different is the PC autotune. I'm going to clean my air filter today what else should I look at? I am planning on doing my Cams next month but need to figure this out before I order any more parts.

This is a common occurrence and really nothing to be too worried about. It could be from several sources. Blocked engine or head venting, too much oil even an oil pump alignment. Since you are at 10,000 miles, change the oil and leave it 1/2 qt low. This is the most common cure. Since you are going to clean your AC, check the head vents and when you change cams make sure your oil pump in aligned properly and be sure to use new o-rings.

Agree with MR Wizard. Only thing to add is oil used. I know Mobile 1 prevents oil foaming in heat. Probably other synthetics do also. Syn 3 doesen't have this and does seem to expand with heat.

Fill to halfway up the dipstick and that should cure it as said above.

Make sure you have right oil level- (easy to over fill) check when hot on jiffy stand. This does happen sometimes on highway rides-Jerry

FWIW, my stock '08 UC just likes to spit oil. I've tried oil dip stick readings full, 3/4's, 1/2, and 1/4 - even different types and blends of oil but always get some misting into the AC.

I think it's never a good thing to purposely run your oil level lower than what the reservoir is designed to hold. Always top up to the "hot full" line. These engines need all the cooling help they can get and every drop of oil assists in cooling. Just my .02 cents...

Went to clean my filter after work today...... 2 out of the 3 standoffs were broken in the throttle body and they actually pulled through the K&N filter mount. I am also missing the rubber o ring on the front side breather tube. I have no idea how this could have happened unless it was hit or something. there are no signs of physical impact. I'm at a loss. I need to get the standoffs out so I can replace them. At least I know where the oil was coming from

Harley has revised the standoff bolts. Apparently they said they break on the non balanced motors. This is according to the dealer I got them at. They are now a 2 piece.
