looking For An AMP

looking For An AMP
I am currently using the Biketronics Retro Radio kit, Sony 5710 radio, and Polk MMC525 speakers. I need an amp so I can crank up the power without the distortion on the higher setting on the radio. The Polk MMC525 speakers will handle 70 watts continuous and 140 watts peak. What are you guys running for an amp? BTW It has to fit in the fairing.

RE: looking For An AMP
I put this eq/amp in my fairing this past winter with great success. It is plenty loud now for all wind conditions and at any speed...and its cheap.

Here you can see how I mounted it on top of my stereo.

RE: looking For An AMP
I just got this one http://www.pyramidcaraudio.com/itempage.asp?model=PB70 for $19.95 per someone here's reccomendation.
I don't know when I'll get around to putting it in, I may wait until I'm ready to paint the inner fairing.

I find that picture of all the wires hysterical.
At first glance, I had an anxiety attack.

If you are running Polk speakers then I'm assuming that you want clean sound. The Pyrimid will do the job, but I would use an Eclipse EA1412. They are very hard to find, but its worth it. They are small, about 7"x1"x2" and will fit almost anywhere. It's 4 channel so if you want to run rear speakers, it will do that as well. I'll try and find a PIC and post it. ZOOK

P.S....the pyramid one I linked to is four channel as well. It comes with instructions for wiring it for two or four speaker operation. Wired for two speakers, it provides more power per channel than split to four.
