I used to ride softails without screens- sometimes using a toolroll strapped over the headlight to break the wind a little. Didn't like the standard screen on my Road King (didn't handle as well with it and caused visibility issues in the rain) so rode without 'till I got a shorty screen.........the compromise. My SG Batwing and short screen are just right - no visibility issues and reduced windblast. Don't have screens on any of my other bikes and I have to say it does limit high speed cruising, but there's something about a full screen that isolates you from the action.....if at all make it short..

Love my windshield! Forget all that noise in the ears without it. And feeling like I'm doing pushups while riding the bike over 45mph.

And I personally think the red mistress looks hot all dressed up. I ride her a lot. Just got back from a trip DC to white Mts in NH and back (about 1400 miles by time I returned). I would not want to do that without a windshield esp cruising up 95.

Her she is with luggage on her back at the top of kangamangus highway

and what she looks like daily (well now she has chrome highway pegs)

What kind of windshield is that on the Red Mistress? the wife has a winshield on her 99 Sporty but I think she needs a better fuller one.

It is a Harley detachable BUT not the current quick release. I got it from a dealer on ebay. I assume off a trade in. It took docking hardware.
