Read your battery! Learn the cranking amps you need & the physical size. Then go battery shopping. Harley & Odyssey are great batteries, but there are also a lot of other gel cell & AGM batteries available. A quick google search will find several.

 

Harley, odysee, or yuasa batteries are all great choices and you will not be disappointed with any of them. I have always run the yuasa batteries on my bikes for years and have had great luck.

As for the starting issue, that sounds like it could be the comp sprocket. I would suggest buying the screaming eagle comp sprocket kit. That will cure your problems on the startup kicking back.
