Default Cruise control problems

I used my cruise control for the first time last week, on my 07 Ultra I just purchased. It seemed to work fine. The problem I have now is the light comes on the tach indicating that it is on, but it will not engage now. I do not have manual. Any tips on why it would not be engaging would be appreciated before I spend $ putting it in the shop.

One problem that can happen with H-D cruise controls is that the throttle cables are binding. This can cause the cruise control to not engage even though the control unit is on, as indicated by the light in the tachometer.

Or one of your brake switches is engaged, wont work then either. Need to get a manual, there are calibration and troubleshooting steps you need. If its a brake switch, probly the front one, happens when the grip bolts get loose and it slides up, closing the switch.

Check the throttle roll off switch, that's what happened to mine.

Roll off switch- mounted to frame on the right side of fork- unplug wire and see if cruise works. You can leave it unplugged, just remember you'll have to use your brakes to shut off cruise
