Default 2009/2010 ultra classic tour pak install

just finished putting a detachable tour pak on the ultra, had no problem deciding where to put the CB, don't use it just coiled it under the seat when trunk is off, the way the intercom mounts on the side is ugly just wondering what everyone else did with their intercom connection, I'm thinking about leaving it under the seat

That was my trouble also, let me know if you come up with a good location.. I think the intercom connector is too large to fit under the seat... What about a passanger shorting the connection by sitting on the seat?

The HD Boom Audio Music and Intercom kit, p/n 77108-09, locates the passenger head set connector using a P-clamp instead of the tour pak. Here is the headset connector on my '04 EG:

http://

Here are the installation instructions (with pictures showing installation on '08 and earlier, and '09 and newer models) for the kit:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US...ts/-J04977.pdf

I don't find the P-clamp mount to be conspicuous and with the passenger control attached to the headset connector, the passenger intercom/CB function is retained without a tour pak on the bike.

In any event, take a look; using the P-clamp may be worth it to you to avoid having to stuff the connector under the seat.

thanks for the info. that kit does make the setup look better than the attachment that came with the TP detach kit, but since i find that i will rarely use it i just tucked it into a cavity in the battery caddy the end sits up alittle but fits well under the seat now

Thank you Captianjack,
My 09 Ultra is really different than your bike, and I would have no problem installing it in that manner, however the cord on the jack is too short to install the way shown eather the way you show or the way shown in the instructions.
I used to install accessories on motorcycles(high school job). Even the dealer is stumped they P clamped it to the top detach bracket... great now I cant open my saddle bag.
As usual they said I'd get used to it. Spent a lot of money dont think I should have to get used to it
