Q2 here, great unit. Used it from Phoenix to Sturgis last year without a hitch. Both myself and wife had each set up for bluetooth on phones and could still use voice dial. Did not have to touch or look at the phone at all. Even call each other to goof around. Mark each unit though to help when you replace the units back in their working cradle. This way you won't have to re-pair each set for BT each time you use it.

I recently installed the Q2 and the intercom is excellant, FM has static when range is questionable. wanted to pair it with my Tomtom but am having trouble even though my gps is bluetooth equiped. Overall a good set, I reccommend.

If you have to save for a while go for the G4. Huge improvement over Q2. Board sponsor has them cheaper than anyone I found. I think you use HF10 as a code for 10 o/o off.

Default Q2 and wind activation

I just bought th Q2 set and agree that it is a great unit. However, if I am in the VOX mode and I have problems with the wind activating the system. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to keep the wind from starting the system. I wear a half helmet with a face shield. I haven't received a reasonable response from scala othe than buying a different foam wind screen.

Thanks for any help

I have a friend that had the same problem. He went to Radio Shack and got another windscreen that was a little larger and the foam was more dense. That worked for him. My Q2 does not seem to have that problem and I am running a half helmet with no shield.

So these work with Half helmets ok? That would be cool.

Yes they do... Like I said in a previous post, you may have to get a slightly bigger windscreen "muff" if the VOX kicks in too often.

Have two. Use them every day. Better once you mod to work with in-ear headphones. Have to be careful about state laws before you go that route.

+1 on the Scala. We tried several FRS systems and a chatterbox. The Q2 dusts the others - it is loud and clear and works the way they say. If the Q4 is better than this then it's hard to imagine how, but I'm not gonna argue. Those guys understand cycle communications.
