Default Battery Tender Junior

Hey everyone, I own a battery tender junior I got from my dealer that I put on my 1989 FLHS all the time just to be safe & make sure she has a nice charge on those colder nights. Anyways it does not specify a yes or a no on my question which is...since there is a part of the cable that disconnects could I use that with the included cap to mount on my Harley then hook the 2 pieces of cable together then plug it into the wall to charge instead of removing my saddle bag & oil pan cover each time to charge it?
Would that be safe to do or could it drain my battery as I ride?

thanks in advance & sorry if that is kind of a foolish question but I don't want to take off then 5-10 mins later have a miss or back firing in the bike b/c the battery is half dead. lol.

Yes, that the reason the Battery Tender is designed that way. It's a lot more convenient that having to access the batter every time to charge it. I have one of those quick connect cables on my car and pickup.

If I'm understanding you correctly, That's the way they are intended to be used. I have Battery Tender Juniors on both my bikes. I took the cable with the Sta.Kon connectors and hooked them to the battery terminals. I then routed the end with the plug with cap down and Tie Wrapped it next to my saddle bag bracket where I could get to it easy without it being very noticable. Don't have to pull anything off to get to it. Hope this helps!

thanks guys, as I said sorry for the dumb Q but the book it came with didn't mention it & after riding my dad's bike with a half dead battery it is something I want to do my best to avoid lol. I'm gonna go hook it up now!
