Default On the road tire plug kits

Do many of you carry a plug kit for you tubless tires? I see that there are a few available that use co2 cartridges or an electric pump or a hose off the cylinder to pump the tire up. I figured in a bind this could get you home. Any one know of a good one?

I do. I bought it at Cycle Gear, it has plugs, patches and a couple of small canisters of compressed air. I also carry a small Slime 12v compressor.

I carry a repair/plug kit and the slime 12 volt compressor in a saddlebag. Compressor plugs into lighter socket. Think i got them at wal-mart or autozone.

Everybody swears by the Slime pump ran off your battery. You can get them cheap enough at several different places. Those CO2 canisters are a one try deal so if you don't get if plugged right the game is over. The "engineair" pumps that hook up to one of your cylinders are not generally ragarded that highly although I don't know why.

Default What about using the spark plug hole

Rather than carrying the compressor or co2 cartridges why not use the bike engine for compressed air?

Heck, why not? The MoCo seems to think that back cylinder is not needed all the time anyway. ;-)

I carry regular sticky tire plugs from Walmart and the guts out of a cheapo 12v compressor...Yes, I have used the plugs more than once with no problems.

I use a Stop & Go plug kit.

I also went with the expensive CyclePump inflator.

There are kits available at both sites that include a pump and plugs.

I carry the stop and go kit, but have never used, because both tires that I have lost have been blow outs.
