That's right I'm am going to regrove my back tire.Tired of no mileage on the back tire.It is a Metz 880.

Uhh - that sounds crazy. There usually isn't much rubber left between the low point of the stock groove and the chords. If you get anything out of it - you're running on borrowed time.
Get the Dunlop E3 and you'll get some extra mileage over the Metz's next time.

Never heard of anyone doing that. There's no way of knowing how the cords inside are doing, so you are taking a huge risk, and for what $150? Not worth it IMO.

Maybe you should just crazy-glue a re-tread on there. I see-em laying on the freeway all the time and they're free!!

Just did a few grooves at 2/32nd looks pretty good,rubber seems to be pretty thick.I regroved a Boss Hoss rear Avon that was about slick from new,it turned out really good,much better for riding in the rain.

Good idea but here's something even better. Instead of changing your oil, simply run the old oil thru a coffee filter and reuse it. You'll save a fortune.
