You can also get them from www.directparts.com for a bit less. I think it was closer to $750, but don;t remember their exact price.

[sm=devilgrin.gif]Okay, I'll play the devil's advocate here! DTT installer is assumed to have previous experience tuning Delph EFI & obviously be PC literate. Should also have access to test equipment and factory service manuals. The unit is recommended for motors running over 100HP. Is this unit just too complex for the average guy? Appears to be much more to the install than just hooking it up and driving down the road for a while, expecting optimum performance. Too much information/instruction/componentry & experience required for me to be comfortable.

Good to hear from the Devil[sm=badbadbad.gif]....I would say that a DTT install is not for the average guy and it is more than plug and play........you have to be willing and able to get actively involved in the tuning process. The Manual and asscoicated software and documents is daunting, but on the other hand all that info seems very enabling once you read through it.

Guys with '07 selecting the PCIII as their performance tuning controller are going to have some interesting choices, according to DTT rep if you leave the stock O2 bungs installed and add a PCIII the ECM is going to be reading info from the O2 and will at times be in conflict with the PCIII...so void your warranty and cut the bungs, right .......again I think we are at the begining of more sophiticated closed loop systems being available to the average guy so lets see how it shakes out. If you have a '06 or earlier bike running well with a PCIII or SERT then who needs a DTT, but all the information availble to read and digest on the DDT site is light years ahead of what you can get from Dynojet and others and if you are doing a nice 95" or bigger build you have to really consider the DTT IF you would like some control over your tune.

It all sounds nice unless you know for sure that it will allow the factory alarm system (TSSM) to operate with the TCFI II Fuel Injection module. The way that I understand the factory alarm system (TSSM) its linked to the ECM which you replace with the Twin Tec unit!

So now will your bike start? Will the alarm work if it dose start? Do you go back to the old (TSM) and not bother with an alarm anymore?

I see no info on the Twin Tech site about alarm equipted bikes!

Aside from the alarm aspect I do like the idea of "dual" wide band o2 sensors. Bit pricy but if it means that you also have a tuner application for a computer as well, I think that maybe worth the money. Keeps you from having to go buy a SERT program and upload that all the time to fine tune your map. Or do a dyno run.

Good catch Ram on the security function... I covered that with DTT today on the phone and was given absolute assurance that security and everything else works just like OEM when you replace the ECM with their TFI. Same thing when you use the Thundermax controller from Zippers as it replaces the ECM too, but in the case of Zippers they do not let you have access to the software......only the reseller/dealer who pay a subscription fee get that .

Hmmm. This looks like a nice product. I want some feedback from users though before I drop another $850.00 into a 35k bike !!!
