Yeah the Twin Tech unit is interesting..........when I talked to them they said they have a hard time keeping up with demand. You would think there would be someone on this board who would have solid experience with this product if Daytona is selling that many. Getting a ECM replacement and the WEGO unit with the the 2 Bosch sensors for $849 isn't cheap but guys on this forum regularly drop that kinda dough on their bikes. I may have to take the plunge but it would be nice to hear from some users.....maybe have to go over to the MSN V-Twin tech board and do some digging there. Interesting that Roland and WIld things promote two devices on their web site for Ignition/Tuning.....The Dobeck DFO and the Daytona Twin Scan TFI.......is it possible that the Twin Scan can tune a Wild Things set up as good as Mike the Man? Might be worth asking Roland directly what his experience is with this closed loop tuner since they act as a reseller.

THat's a great idea!

How does someone go about contacting him? I have googled every vatiation of World Class Tuner / Mike Rowland I can think of, but have not come up with a website or contact information....

Jeepster ~ how did you get ahold of him?

I, too am watching this product for consumer reviews. My concern is that for a closed loop system, the O2 sensors may not be enough to provide accurate data for the ECM. A car has a closed loop system and counts on a Mass Air Flow Sensor, Throttle Position Sensor, O2 Sensors and the like to feed the ECM with data.

I am close to installing a PCIII with a canned map for my mods, however I will wait awhile to see how this shakes out.

Good thread.

There's more to it than just O2 feedback.

THere are at least: a TPS, MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor, a Crank Position Sensor, and a CHT (cylinder head temp) sensor. Could be more, but that's all I know of off the top of my pea brain....

I think that is why the Twin Tech is so appealiing the Bosch O2 sensors are state of the art and are considered the best available in providing a wide band sensing ulike the inexpensive narrow band sensors that come on cars and the '07 Harleys. These Bosch O2 sensors provide the information that allows the black box/ECM to do accurate work adjusting the fuel delivery.

These WEGO II Wide Band Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor System provide
a complete air/fuel ratio metering system with built-in data logging and displays air/fuel ratio and logs over 2 hours data to down load to your laptop after a ride that includes AFR, engine RPM, and a spare 0-5V analog input for sensors such as throttle position or manifold pressure. It is highly accurate with less than 0.15 AFR error over 10.3 – 19.5 AFR range.

I gotta believe that in due time these are the type of systems for tuning that will be leading the market. Now who wants to be our guniea pig

[8D] Let's see what Mr. Mike has to say...........Jeepster should be able to get a good dialogue going with him on this topic. I'm going to call back Daytona and ask them if they have any "certified" dealers that do installs and do some more diging on that end.

Talked to Alan at Daytona at length and have gone through the software, install procedure and tuning manual...seems all straight forward. And yes, Phil is correct their ECM takes in many points of info beyond the O2 sensor. Pretty amazing tool. Interesting that they do very little business direct with installers as most of their sales are direct to the end user. They were not able to provide a list of dealers/ installers and really encouraged the owner to DIY. That is definitley going to be a choke point for mass appeal of this product to the HD crowd if they can't get Moto shops to sign up, market and sell..........of course I do not see why a shop who is big on the PCIII would want any part of this product. Alan did say they just finished an install on an '07 Fat Boy and it worked real nice!

I'm getting closer to taking the plunge and including this in my upcoming 95" build.........what's another $850

If I read this right, the Twin Tech set up allows you to cahange whatever hard parts you want and the ECU automatically compensates? Is it availible for the 06s?
