Unhappy My hands kill me

Can anyone tell me if they have changed their handle bars on a 09 Screaming Eagle Ultra. My hands go to sleep after only a few miles.

My hands go to sleep and tingle quite often on my Ultra also, but they did it on my Sportster too. It's more of a circulation thing for me. Thats where cruise control comes in very handy.

Sounds like position of your shoulders more then your hands/wrist. Blood has to come thru your shoulders and usually this is a symptom that your not sitting correctly. I myself don't have any issues with my 09 EGC...but sometimes during long runs I will remove my hand from the bars and just stretch and move my shoulders around. Hope you find your solution.

If you're old enough for a bagger, you're old enough for carpal tunnel syndrome.

I have two pair of these; the perforated and the thinsulated ones and they help alot. The perforated ones run a size small so check his chart. Great service, I exchanged my perforated ones w no questions asked. Lots of info on causes on his links.

I have a similar problem with my right hand with the outer two fingers. Mentioned it to my chiropractor and he said the root cause is in the shoulder. Purchased the Road Glide with cruise and the problem rarely surfaces anymore! Well I did put on a Throttle Lock on my former bike to help with the issue, but loving the cruise for sure.

I have palm rest on the throttle grip that is the larger piece of plastic. I find I grip the handle bars with less pressure and that helps.

Consider how tightly you are choking the grips, too. I find myself squeezing the heck out of my stock grips and have to constantly remind myself to loosen up a bit. The answer for me will be the new larger diameter grips I will be putting on.
