I was just surfing Garmin's website and found a rebate on the Zumo models. Saving the $100 might be good for some one. Just thought I would pass it along.

I've been on the fence thinking about getting one of these. $100 is a help in pushing me to it.

 

Good find, although Garmin's list prices are about the most you can pay. I wonder if this is a prelude to discontinuing the Zumo line.

 

You don't need to buy it from Garmin to be eligible for rebate.

 

I just think that Garmin is admiting that this thing is over priced. They just don't sell because allot of folks just arn't willing to drop the money on them for the price they are asking. And as stated above. You do not have to purchase it from Garmin. You can but it from anywhere that is an authorized seller and claim the rebate.

 

I agree with this. They have been gouging the bike market.

 

Yea, the new 665 is listed at 1K, really Garmin, what were you thinking? It's a nice unit and includes the Satellite antenna for XM. But I know allot of folks that would rather have Sirius. Most just won’t pay 1K for it, that much I’m sure. I am surprised the rebate isn’t stepped. Meaning that if you bought the 665 you get like $150 off instead of the standard $100.

 

Harley Zumos are not part of this offer. I wrote Garmin and they said "The Harley Davidson zumo will not qualify for the current rebate offer. "

Bummer... Guess I am staying on the fence on this.
