I've layed my down twice because of the front brake. Lesson learned. Third time was at an advenced rider course. Got too slow in a u turn and dropped it on my foot. I just hope I never do it with my wife aboard. It would probably be the last time she rode with me. :0(

It ruins a good day in a hurry. We need to start a "i laid mine down" club. I bet there would be lots of members!

Dropped my Ultra the day I picked her up at the dealer. Came to a stop sign and next thing I knew we were on our side. She has gone down a couple of other times also. I have learned to keep my head and eyes up when going slow and stopping. Live and learn I guess.

Tests the strength of the relationship that's for sure! Jen was really good and kept telling me that it was nothing and she really trusts me, her choice to be on the bike etc etc.

Nice girl.

Thanks for posting this thread. It will make us all more aware. I'm trying to re-train myself to not use the front brake while < 10mph. That front brembo brake will bring me down.

Only had my Ultra a month or so and me and my girlfriend were on a weekend trip in Savannah, GA. Get this: Riding 2-up, tour pack packed, luggage strapped on the luggage rack, cobblestone street, and not paying attention while stopped -- leaning...leaning, ugh, too much, can't stop it...whop! Bruised ego, girlfriend looking at me funny like she's not too sure about this biker chick thing. Ok, ok, she really felt bad for my embarrassment and hopped right back on and we had a great weekend.
